Custom Clear Carbon Infrared Heating Lamps: Power, Design, and Application
We build custom clear carbon infrared heating lamps for engineers who need heat—precise heat—delivered exactly where they want it. These aren’t off-the-shelf. They’re built around your machine, your voltage, and your cycle time. The whole point is simple: get the heat where you need it, when you need it, and stop wasting energy.
Technical Deep-Dive
We size these lamps around power density and voltage. Take a 400V, 2500W setup, for example. It packs serious heat into a small footprint—exactly what you need when your process cycles fast. The 300mm tube length focuses that energy into a tight zone, so you don’t end up baking the surrounding frame. That focused approach also cuts warm-up time and helps your process temperature stay steady.
Material & Design
Carbon elements run hot. So the envelope has to be tough. We use a quartz tube with halogen fill gas to keep the filament stable and prevent hot spots. The clear finish lets infrared energy pass straight through, so heat transfer across the target surface stays predictable. And for installation, the lamp comes with an R7s connector—so you can wire it in as a direct drop-in replacement.
Application & Benefits
These lamps show up a lot in PET blowing and other industrial heating work, where you need heat fast—and you need it localized. Because we build them custom, you can match wattage, length, and voltage to the exact thermal demand of the job. Here’s the trade-off, though: high power density means your cooling and shielding have to be designed properly. You’ll need to manage ambient heat and keep components from overheating.
