What Makes It Tick
Here’s the thing: these lamps run on high voltage, typically around 400V. Why? Because that lets you pack a serious punch—like 2500 watts—into a compact, 300mm tube. The result? You get heat that ramps up almost instantly, giving you precise control over the temperature. The design is deliberate. The short length keeps the hot zone tight, and the voltage-to-wattage pairing keeps the current draw low for the amount of power you’re getting.
The Inside Story
The heart of it is the carbon fiber filament. We chose it because it holds its resistance steady and responds in a flash. Wrapped inside is a halogen gas fill. It keeps the filament clean, even when things get scorching hot, which means you get reliable, consistent performance for thousands of hours. The quartz envelope handles sudden temperature shifts without cracking, and the R7s connector makes mounting straightforward. It’s solid, easy to wire, and simple to align, even in those cramped spots.
Where It Shines
Take PET blowing, for example. You need to heat a specific spot quickly, without turning the whole machine into an oven. This lamp nails that with its concentrated infrared profile and small footprint. But let’s be honest—that much power density comes with a trade-off. You absolutely need proper cooling and heat shielding in place. Get the lamp spec’d right, and pair it with the right cooling setup, and you’ll have predictable cycles and output you can count on, every single time.
