Material & Design: Halogen, Quartz, Coating, and Connectors
Inside the quartz envelope, a halogen fill keeps the element stable and the output consistent over the life of the lamp. The carbon crystal filament is chosen because it naturally leans into the far infrared spectrum, which transfers energy efficiently into many industrial materials. The quartz body is tough—no surprise there—and handles rapid temperature swings without flinching. If you need it, an optional coating can fine-tune the spectral output and add a layer of protection against chemical exposure. At the ends, an R7s connector gives you a standardized, secure mount that holds up to vibration. For the high-wattage versions, we often spec Sk15 terminals to handle the current safely and keep those connections from running hot.
