We built this infrared carbon emitter for engineers who need serious heat in a small space. It runs on 400V and hits 2500W, which gives you a lot of power packed into a compact design. The payoff? It ramps up fast, so you don’t have to overhaul your entire thermal setup just to get the job done. We chose a 300mm length for a reason. It keeps the heat focused in one spot, making it easier to line up the hot face with the part you’re working on—especially on machines like PET blowers.
Material & Design
Inside, the carbon filament sits in a halogen-filled environment. That keeps the element clean and helps it deliver steady output, day after day. The quartz tube is coated to shape the spectrum, pushing more usable energy right where you need it. And that same coating helps the tube handle sudden temperature swings without cracking. When it comes to installation, we went with R7s end-caps. That means it drops right into standard sockets—no messing around with rewiring, no unnecessary downtime. The terminals are built for a solid clamp, so once you wire it up, it stays put, even when things get shaky.
Application & Benefits
Out on the line, this setup shines when you need focused heating—preform heating, plastic welding, drying lines where speed matters. The high watt density lets you shrink the heater footprint, but here’s the thing: that also means your cooling and shielding have to be properly set up.
